The stop in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and away from our wonderful 42 foot fifth wheel came at the right time. Pigeon Forge is a family friendly place with plenty to do. Our family had many amazingly unique opportunities while we were staying there.
The Bible experience dinner show about Moses was biblically based about the Israelites traveling through the desert which is now present day Saudi Arabia. During the pre-show there was a film showing the Split Rock, Mount Sinai and a mass grave of the remnants of when God helped the Levites win a battle against the Israelites because of their disobedience. Wow!! Actual places from the Bible, real evidence of the journey from Egypt to Israel right in front of us on the big screen. Dinner theatre was a new experience for our children. Knowledge is power!
While waiting to pick up our key to a cabin we were staying in, Chuck noticed an unusual sign we had never seen on our trip so far. The sign read, “Treasuring the Word – Rare Bible and Book Museum”. After our children (Chuck Jr. and Grace) went in to check out the museum, Chuck Sr. followed. A few moments later, Chuck comes out and tells me (Gia) this is right up your alley. So we went in and didn’t come out until four hours later!! Four hours in a small, but very informative, educational, and inspiring time for our family to come together with a Pastor named Mike Grant. Before we left Mike’s amazing museum he even graciously invited us to his house for church. A house church – an opportunity to worship our loving God with other believers in a home the way Christians did 2,000 years ago. The Grant family was so hospitable, as were the other families that worshipped with us that special afternoon. After we left their home we headed for Gatlinburg. In Gatlinburg, we visited another one of a kind museum known as the Christ in the Smokies Museum. This museum showed us the life of Christ, the history of movies based on Jesus life, the Bible, many biblical artifacts, a Jewish Temple, and a gift shop. At the gift shop, our son Chuck found a book that encourages teens so I bought it for FaithJean who was going to have a birthday on March 29th. On the 29th, we celebrated her 13th birthday! Next we traveled back to North Carolina and up to Virginia. Learning much in Richmond and Chuck Sr. finding some people to play basketball with!

Wonderful blessing – Bible Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tn. Met Mike Grant – a wonderful brother in Christ. Ended up spending several hours learning Bible history and then he was gracious enough to invite us to his home for home church and lunch the following morning with his family and loved ones.
Mike Grant’s blessings and home. God is good. It was amazing meeting these faithful people and now having them in our life from here on out!
