Hola, me llama es (That means “Hi, My name is”, for you non-Spanish speakers;) FaithJean. Well on June ninth we kicked off our Journey Two. After a year of applying what we learned from our previous journey in our local community, we decided to take a summer trip to see some of God’s beautiful country that we had missed before. We left our home for the last year to go to hot Las Vegas. It was an interesting city and the Venetian was an amazing hotel, but that was nothing compared to our stops in Utah. The first stop in Utah was Zion National Park, it was massive and beautiful, and was honestly one of my favorite places I have ever seen. Next was Bryce Canyon National Park. It was amazing with all of the different colored rock. At night you can see stars for a hundred miles of visibility. It was breath taking! Our last stop in Utah were the Grand Arches National Park. Some of the arches in the park were small and some were gigantic, but ultimately it all showed God’s awesome power. While we were there in Moab (a city nearby Arches National Park), we celebrated Father’s Day for our Father in Heaven and for my earthly Daddy. Utah was a great example of God’s creativity.
Next was Denver, Colorado – a big city, with a small town feel. While we were there we went to a Colorado Rockies game at a Mile high stadium. It was a cool stadium yet it was hot, and though the Angels weren’t playing we still wore our Angels gear. After the game we stumbled upon a free draft party in the Denver Nuggets stadium. It was a nice stadium and better yet the Lakers got an awesome draft pick! Then, we got a look at the Broncos stadium. Denver was a fun city.
Our last stop of the month was Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs is home to a number of prominent Christian organizations including Focus on the Family, Compassion International, and Association of Christian Schools International. Not to mention it being the home of the Air Force Academy and Pike’s Peak. It was a beautiful city and was also the place where Daddy and Chuck Jr. got their heads shaved for the third time in the past couple of years. Focus on the Family is an organization that focuses on supporting what a family can and should be in God’s eyes, and Compassion International focuses on providing children in poverty across the globe with sponsors who can help them. At Compassion, God put it on my heart to sponsor a child of my own, so I sponsored a little girl named Camila. Our family already sponsors two children, a boy and a girl named Santiago and Miranda. ACSI is an association that helps Christian schools improve, our school – which mommy works for – is accredited by them. Pike’s peak is one of the largest peaks in the world and we took a train ride up to the top. It had an amazing view. Colorado Springs was a great city.
Well, June was another great month of blessed travels. Below are some pictures from this month, captioned by Grace and I. Thanks for reading, until my next chronicle, Adios (That means “Bye” in Spanish, just in case you needed some translation:).
This is the day that we left our beloved rv park, East Shore. 😦
FaithJean and I are putting up the stabilizers, so we can start our Journey Two.
Selfie status at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Can you tell that we are tourists? 🙂
Chuckie working dem muscles.
Hope and Mommy sleeping on the way to Zion.
Chuck and I on a trail in Zion National Park.
FaithJean and Daddy taking a selfie in beautiful Zion.
Chuck, FaithJean, and I walked across a fast creek in Zion.
Us kids are in front of a trail that becomes more narrow as the rock gets more narrow in the wonderful Zion.
Chuck and Daddy are waiting for the bus to pick us up and take us to our next stop in the breath-taking Zion National Park.
Zion National Park Sign: Awe in it’s beauty. 🙂
Hope and I at a delicious buffet in Bryce Canyon, Utah.
Below are us and the very beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park. The statues of rock are called hoodoos.
Mommy on a strenuous trail; she takes it like a pro.
Chuck, The Magnificent, lifter of all National Parks.
Chuck, Mommy, and Daddy conquerors of the Navajo Trail.
Mommy and Chuck found some clay and splashed it on their faces, boom a cross.
Us lazy ones conquering a strenuous trail by horse. 😦
Another superior sign by our government.
Kids chilling in the back at Arches, carried by Bonita, our truck.
Humongous Arch at Arches, obviously.
Celebrating Daddy’s Father’s Day in Moab, Utah.
Chuck hanging out at the Bronco’s Stadium, ha literally. 🙂
We are taking a selfie in the hot hot sun at the Colorado Rockies Stadium.
Daddy and I are chilling out at the mile-high seats at the Rockies Stadium.
Watching the Laker’s Draft Pick in the Denver Nugget’s Stadium. An awesome draft pick goes best with a cool stadium to watch it in.
Chuck and I are showing how the pros do it.
We are taking a pic, with two of the players from Nuggets team.
We are remembering our strong Air Force. My Grandpa was an Air Force officer and my Daddy was an Air Force brat!
We are visiting Focus on the Family headquarters. May God Bless them.
Here is a demonstration on how a baby forms in a Mommy’s womb, life is precious. Focus on the Family is a strong advocate against abortion.

We are bright and bushy tailed on our way up the tough train ride to the top of Pike’s Peak.

We made it up alive, but it was worth a million dollar view.
Hope, FaithJean, and Daddy are taking a break from the tiring train ride.
Visiting an amazing corporation in Colorado Springs.
Chuck, The Magnificent, strikes again at Garden of the Gods.
Here is a great mission statement that Compassion International has built upon.
Here we are visiting a good association that helps Christian schools thrive across the world.
Here is the scene of the crime where Chuck and Daddy lost all of their hair, but in all seriousness it is cool that they have a special thing that they do together on these Journeys.
See, they don’t look so bad. 🙂
