Here is the Mt Rushmore of the South – confederate leaders.  Stonewall Jackson, Robert E Lee, and Jefferson Davis.  Largest relief sculpture in the world – much larger than Mt. Rushmore.

All of us on last night together – Epcot.  Just finished a firework and water show behind us.

Hello 2014! The first two weeks of January were great and blessed! Hi, this is FaithJean, and I’ll be writing and summarizing the first 2 weeks of January below for the family.  Well, after we came back from SoCal, we stayed in an awesome Embassy Suites. While we were there we enjoyed our stay, and Daddy said he really liked not having to worry about every creak and noise, and not having to analyze everything! Also, while we were there, Mommy and Daddy gave to various organizations, and celebrated their 23rd anniversary! They liked their anniversary being different for a change, and surprising each other with gifts. They also accidentally got each other the same gift (chocolate strawberries) and one night a guy payed their bill. It was cool and interesting having New Year’s Eve in a different place, especially since we were about 10 miles from were the giant peach dropped in Atlanta. In Atlanta, we visited Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain is kind of like the “Rushmore of the South”. Daddy found it interesting to learn the perspectives of the Civil War from the south at Stone Mountain. After Stone Mountain we met up with Daddy’s friend Frank. It was really nice talking with him at the BBQ place we went to. Daddy said, “ I enjoyed hooking up with Frank, that was a special time. I missed not being able to hook up with my friend Brian, hopefully we’ll be able to catch him as we go up the east coast.” The most exciting thing that happened while we were there was probably the snow. One night there were tiny snowflakes outside our hotel. Nothing lasted ‘till the morning, but it was the first snow we have ever had at our “house”.  After Atlanta, we went on the road again! We reached a small town in Southern Georgia where we went to a church called Grace Church. After services a nice man approached us and prayed with us. In his prayer, he called Daddy a “tree of righteousness”. I thought that was a pretty cool complement!

Next, we went to Starke, Florida. Florida is very swampy; there are a lot of trees, water, and grass. In Starke, we encountered our first tire problem. There was a huge bubble in our tire!! Luckily when we discovered it we were already at our KOA. It was another blessing in disguise! We had fully reached our KOA without the tire blowing out! God is good!!!! In Gainesville, (which is 30 minutes away from Starke) we visited the University of Florida Museum. Mommy, Grace, and I were all in awe of the amazing butterflies God has created, that were displayed there! Chuck Jr. really liked seeing the mouth of a huge shark, which is now extinct. Daddy enjoyed learning the history of Florida. After Starke, we arrived in Orlando. In Orlando, we tried a restaurant called Uno’s Pizzeria. It originated in Chicago (Deep Dish)! It also had wonderful Strawberry smoothies. Also in Orlando we did the touristy part of our trip, and visited the Disney Parks! Yeah! While we were visiting them we stayed in a house. Daddy also enjoyed relaxing there, and not having to worry about every single thing! We visited the parks with my sister Mel, her husband Chris, and my Uncle Bill. I had an awesome time at the parks, and some of the favorite things we did there included, Tom Sawyer Island at Disney World, Big Thunder Mountain at Disney World, Rock n’ Roller Coaster (Hope and Mommy’s favorite) at Hollywood Studios, Epcot – big Golf Ball and Epcot World Showcase (we are enjoying different foods and different cultures on our trip across the U.S, but World Showcase is around the world.), Epcot Test track, Disney World rides for the first time, Disney World Firework Show, Star wars ride at Hollywood Studios, The Electrical Parade at Disney world, Epcot Water and Firework show, and many more! It was very nice to go from cold for many months to sunny too! Some of us liked hanging out with family at the house more than the parks. Telling jokes and stories  J! We also celebrated Chuck Jr’s birthday together. I‘m so glad our family came. It wouldn’t have been the same without them! I think we all enjoyed having a nice house for a little while, but now it’s time to get back to our cozy R.V, and the adventures that await us! Thanks for reading, until next time, FaithJean, Grace, Hope, Chuck Jr., Mommy, and Daddy! Thank You God for a blessed two weeks and God Bless You!
