Behind all of us is Thomas Jefferson’s house. It was different than homes we have today.
We are respecting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The two soldiers are doing the ceremony where they switch shifts. It was in the Arlington Cemetery.

George Washington did have slaves, but when he died he let some of them free and left the rest for his wife.

FaithJean and Olivia are at the Thomas Jefferson’s Memorial and behind them is a saying that he said.
Hope is respecting the World War II Memorial and the stars represent how many people died.
This memorial is the one who had a dream, Martin Luther King Jr. On the walls were quotes that he had said.
Us, kids are respecting those who had fought in the Korean War.
On the Vietnam Memorial is names of the people who had fought and risked their lives for our freedom.
We met up with our cousin, Jeff Johnson and his wife. Behind us is a trail that we hiked from his house.
Here is Mommy and a Rosa Parks statue. She was a great woman who earned a lot of respect.
We are in front of the capital building in Washington D.C. We were able to see an actual court decision happening.

Behind us stands the marvelous White House. Unfortunately, we did not see the President, but we did see the plane that he rides in above us.
The trees that you see are called Cherry Blossom trees. They were in full bloom when we were there. They were given to us by Japan as a peace offering. The river that is there is called the Potomac.
We are at the Gettysburg Museum and the battlefield.
We were able to see the battlefield and and see the trenches that they hid behind.
This is Daddy when he was in the hospital, in Gettysburg, making sure everything was okay. We had wrote him notes and Chuck drew him a picture. God answered prayers during the journey and ultimately healed him.
We are leaving Gettysburg Hospital because Daddy is okay. We ended up spending Easter there and Daddy was able to join and we held our own egg hunt.
